April Taylor joins Dick Van Dyke, Terrell Owens, Molly Sims, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and a host of other celebrities in the Celebrity Champions Speak Out campaign to show their support for the Alzheimer's Association. The goal of the campaign is to enlist 5 million people to 'champion' the Alzheimer cause and to help bring awareness to a disease that strikes one person in America every 71 seconds.
Each participant was asked to choose an action word for the clothing that they would wear in the campaign and to share how Alzheimer's disease touched their lives. "It is an honor for me to be part of this campaign to help create awareness for Alzheimer's. I chose to highlight word ACT because I have always been that taught every little act of kindness goes a long way. It always feels good being to be a part of something that could make a big difference in the lives of so many people who are affected by this disease. We all need to ACT now and make the difference," says April.

When the spring edition of Marquee Magazine starts arriving on stands next week, April Taylor fans will see her looking back at them from the cover. April and photographer David Wood spent a cold winter's day in February at the historic Bristol Train Station to create photos for this edition of the magazine. The photos and story by Aislinn O'Conner are included in the feature, Mountain South Musicians.
Of the artists Marquee Magazine has chosen to highlight in this edition it says, "Whatever the venue--an intimate listening room or open-air festival stage--these musicians stand apart for their intense skill and energy. We now cast our feature spotlight on them as part of the outstanding musical patchwork quilt our region enjoys, and invite you to catch up with them whenever and wherever the opportunity arises." April is joined by Doc Watson, Edgar Meyer, Jimmy Thackery, Devon Allman, Cory Branan, Rhonda Vincent and Jag Star in the special feature.
April is scheduled to return to the studio later in the year and is currently on the road in support of her newest single, "I Wanna Live Like That". The song, the title track of her CD is #35 this week in the Music Row Country BreakOut Chart.

April on radio tour promoting "I Wanna Live Like That"

Breathy, sultry vocals from April Taylor - one of Nashville's brightest new talents. - by John Lewis
April Taylor has one of those breathy, sultry voices that could melt even the hardest of hearts and her new single stands every chance of breaking into the charts. "I Wanna Live Like That" - the title track of her debut album - is a classy number written by my erstwhile friend Larry Wayne Clark and Cathy Anne Whitemore. The arrangement would be too Nashpop for my taste were it not for the subdued lead guitar rolling around deep in the mix and the tidy use of fiddles rather than violins.
My one complaint is that April's vocals lack the punch to cut through the mix, and they get lost here and there. But that's picking holes.
My View: Not the album's best track... and the album is brilliant!!
